Before the Lok Sabha elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has suffered a big setback in Bihar. Former Rajya Sabha MP Ashfaq Karim has resigned from the party. Ashfaq resigned from primary membership by writing a letter to Lalu Prasad Yadav. Ashfaq has expressed his displeasure through this letter. Lalu has been accused of destroying the rights of Muslims.

Making serious allegations against Lalu, Ashfaq said that Muslims were not even given a respectable share as per their population. It is impossible to work with RJD in such circumstances. Ashfaq said that you only talked about conducting caste census and fair share but the rights of Muslims were violated.

In his resignation letter to Lalu, Ashfaq wrote, I joined your party to strengthen social justice. You used to give the slogan of ‘Whoever participates, so does his share’, but you have claimed the rights of Muslims. Therefore, it is not possible for me to do politics with RJD. During this, Ashfaq also wished for Lalu’s good health.

According to the information, Ashfaq was angry over not getting ticket from RJD for the Lok Sabha elections. He was not even sent to Rajya Sabha. There was resentment regarding this also. Ashfaq wanted to contest Lok Sabha elections from Katihar. But he did not get the ticket. The Congress here has fielded Tariq Anwar.
